><p>The History Museum of Armenia is the national museum of Armenia and was founded in 1919 as the Ethnographic-Anthropological Museum-Library. However, it was not until August of 1921 the Museum was open for visitors on Republic Square in Yerevan.<br \/>\nThe Museum\u2019s name underwent successive changes from the State Central Museum of Armenia (1922), Cultural-Historical Museum (1931), Historical Museum (1935), and State History Museum of Armenia (1962). The collection also includes issues from the 18th through 20th centuries of numerous countries.
