The building of the Museo e Instituto de Valencia de Don Juan is one of the best examples of the works of the Spanish architect Enrique Fort, built in 1886 for the Duke of Osma y Scull. The building, originally a private city palace, was converted into a museum in 1916 by the Dutchess as a gift to her husband (he was an archaeologist). The many (neo-)Arabic elements of the facade are rather untypical for Madrid, you see them more in the south of Spain. And it certainly is a numismatic sight as well as the museum has one of the most important private coin collections in Spain!
