Opening hours
After the club’s internal meeting, lectures and/or discussions on numismatic topics – also based on selected coin objects – take place in the public part of the meeting from 7:30 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
The “Erfurter Münzfreunde” are a non-profit association that is committed to promoting scientific research and education in the field of numismatics and the care and preservation of numismatic cultural values. Particular attention is paid to researching and preserving the numismatic history of Central Germany. The association was founded in 1992 as a successor to the “Numismatics Specialist Group in the Cultural Association of the GDR” and has since contributed to the promotion of numismatics through numerous events and publications. It is a member of the German Numismatic Society (DNG) and the International Numismatic Council (INC / CIN).
As part of the association’s purpose, the two series of publications “Erfurt Numismatic Research” and “Erfurt Coin Pages” are published. Issues published so far can be purchased from the coin specialist on the Krämerbrücke (email: info@muenzfachgeschaeft.de). The Erfurt Coin Friends also issue medals for special occasions, which can also be purchased.
