Once a year, Berlin is the capital of numismatics, when the World Money Fair opens its doors and Künker holds its most important auction sale. Coin collectors, dealers, mint directors and minting engineers from all over the world flock to Berlin. Unfortunately, they usually have too little time to explore the numismatic attractions. Even without the World Money Fair, Berlin has a lot to offer for coin enthusiasts. First of all, of course, there is the Numismatic Collection on Berlin’s Museum Island. It is one of the most important numismatic collections in the world. But even smaller museums in Berlin often have an attractive collection of means of payment on display.
