Marc Walter has created a coin shop like the one he used to visit as a little boy with his father and grandfather. He is a real fan who has been collecting since his earliest childhood and grew up in a collecting family. Whilst still studying numismatics, he decided not to go into academia, preferring to dedicate himself to the coin trade. He founded his coin shop almost 20 years ago in 2006.

Since then, he has not done anything that has become commonplace today. He does not hold auction sales and does not run an online shop. For customers, this means that they can find fresh, unused material at Marc Walter. The range covers the entire spectrum of classical numismatics – from antiquity to the early 20th century. “It is important to me,” says Marc Walter, “that customers find high-quality pieces that they can buy immediately at fair prices. My true love is antiquity, but of course I also have a large stock of medieval and early modern coins. Everything that belongs to the field of classical numismatics.”
