The Leipziger Münzhandlung und Auktion Heidrun Höhn e.K. welcomes coin enthusiasts from all over the world to its location in the heart of Leipzig’s old town. No matter what you collect, the extensive stock at the shop at Nikolaistrasse 25 leaves nothing to be desired. The 70-square-meter sales area offers ample space for leisurely browsing.

Naturally, the Leipziger Münzhandlung covers the entire spectrum of numismatics. Whether buying or selling, consigning to auction, or obtaining a non-binding appraisal: at the Leipziger Münzhandlung, five experienced numismatists ensure that customers receive the best possible advice.

The Leipziger Münzhandlung naturally specializes in Saxony as well as German coins and medals after 1871, but all other areas are also well represented.

For those who are unable to visit the beautiful city of Leipzig in person, we recommend the extensive online shop, where more than 3,000 numismatic objects can be purchased at any time.

Two live auctions per year

Twice a year – usually in May and November – the Leipzig coin dealership holds live auctions where several thousand lots change hands. These auctions have become a social event for collectors.

In addition, the Leipzig coin dealership holds regular e-live auctions, the catalogs of which can only be viewed online. Customers bid online in real time, allowing them to place a bid at any time if they wish to acquire a lot.

Women’s power in numismatics

The Leipziger Münzhandlung is managed by sisters Christina and Saskia Höhn. They are continuing the work of their mother, Heidrun, who founded the Leipziger Münzhandlung und Auktion Heidrun Höhn e.K. with her husband, Manfred Höhn, immediately after German reunification in 1990. The Leipzig coin dealership quickly established itself as a numismatic center for the then-new federal states. The first coin auction took place on June 17th and 18th, 1991. Many more followed, featuring the sale of exceptional collections and exciting individual pieces.

Today, the Leipzig coin dealership is the largest numismatic auction house in Central Germany and is among the ten largest coin auction houses in Germany.

More than a business

Christina and Saskia Höhn were born with a passion for numismatics. For them, coins are not just a business, but a true love. This is evident in their enthusiastic commitment to promoting numismatics. They are members of numerous associations and clubs, in some of which they hold key positions.

The Leipzig coin dealership has its own YouTube channel, where interesting lectures are regularly shown.
